Not every time you have to blame Hackers 🙁 They do some good stuff too :p
Now everyone in the world was waiting for the sixth episode of Game of Thrones. Many tries were done to get the pirated version, but unfortunately, it couldn’t get pirated. It was the most watched show on Netflix, and it was breaking the internet.
Everything was going fine until HBO Spain accidentally airs the sixth episode of Game Of Thrones five days before its official premiere.
HBO though very cautious in regarding of providing screeners to journalists for new episodes of Game of Throne from past two years kind of releases the sixth one 🙁
When asked HBO about it, they said it was due to an error which made the sixth GOT episode of seventh season air before its original release date in Spain and Nordic countries.
“We have learned that the upcoming episode of Game of Thrones was accidentally posted for a brief time on the HBO Nordic and HBO España platforms,” an HBO spokesperson said. “The error appears to have originated with a third-party vendor and the episode was removed as soon as it was recognized.”

The “Game of Thrones” fan community Watchers of the Wall tweeted about the leak late Tuesday, encouraging fans not to share images from the upcoming episode on social media to avoid spoiling the show for its loyal fanbase.
Yes, Episode 6 of #GameofThrones has leaked, thanks to HBOSpain. Please use caution on social media- spoilers/images are popping up already.

The episode was aired for 71 Minutes. 71 Minutes was more than enough for hackers to record it and broadcast it everywhere. While the HBO Spain was airing the episode, some of the twitch users tried to stream it live for about 30 minutes and attracted 20k+ users before they were shut down
This leak has nothing to do with the recent hack of HBO, a few weeks ago. The hack included some crucial HBO data such as HBO emails, agreements, balance sheets, upcoming episodes of “Baller” “Room 104” along with the script of fourth episode of Game Of Thrones amounting to 1.5 terabytes of data.Hackers are demanding a ransom of six million dollars in bitcoins, or they will release the data online. However, HBO offered a $250,000 ransom to hackers to prevent further leaks. Since the amount was like three to four percent of the original amount, the greedy hackers refused to accept the deal and threatened to release more files from its 1.5 terabytes of stolen data every Sunday until the ransom is paid. HBO has not responded to any further mail from them.
If the claims are true, and if the ransom is not paid, then you should expect more leaks of your favorite shows. It is still unclear who is behind the hack.
It is not the first episode of this GOT season which made its way to the web. Even the fourth episode from the seventh season was leaked three days before its original release date which was August 6. Sources tell that the fourth episode “Spoils of War” was leaked on Monday. The company, which has the season’s airing rights, filed a complaint after the episode was found on the internet sites in the first week of August with the channel’s watermark on it. It was a low-quality video of the episode.
According to police, three of the accused Bhaskar Joshi, Alok Sharma and Abhishek Ghadiyal held technical posts in the Prime Focus Technologies, a Mumbai-based company that processes the series for Indian streaming website Hotstar and had access to the video The fourth, Mohamad Suhail, is a former employee who leaked the low-quality video.
The Mumbai police have arrested the four offenders and charged with criminal breach of trust and computer-related crimes.
As the show is much hyped on internet and people going crazy for it, the fourth episode was quickly pirated and circulated everywhere on the web right from social media to torrent websites. The one hour leak by HBO Spain was enough for the hackers to download the episode, live stream it and published on various websites online. The social media was filled with the spoilers and GIFs of the episodes
Many GOT fans have taken the efforts made by director and actor and decided not to watch it before the release date, but it was circulated, and many people did watch it
There are rumors that even the episode seven is leaked, but one of the HBO representatives have denied the claims of it.
What do you think of the leaks? Let me know in the comments and I request you not to share the spoilers and don’t spoil and waste the great efforts by the director, producers and actors.
